From January 1st 2019 to July 25th 2022, residents of South Australia can be eligible for an SA government solar battery rebate. This is available for up to 40,000 homes so you don’t want to miss out on this great offer.

FAQ about SA Government Home Battery Subsidy
What finance is available for solar panels?
- Along with the solar battery subsidy, South Australian households will have access to finance to help with the upfront costs of the new battery and solar if required.
- The South Australian Government and Clean Energy Finance Corporation are working together to provide $100 million in loans
- Households will have the flexibility to choose how much is borrowed
- We expect these loans to be for between 5 to 7 years, ensuring households can achieve the benefits from the system.
What does this mean for households?
- If you are looking for a 10kWh battery you could receive a $5000 subsidy or $6000 for concession holders
- If you are looking at a 5kWh battery , you could be in lone for a $2500 subsidy or $3000 for concession holders
What solar products will be available?
- To be available through the scheme products must fit the product eligibility requirements
- Priority will be given to batteries that are manufactured or assembled in South Australia for the first nine weeks
